ResearchSouth Inc. was incorporated in 1993 as an Alabama Subchapter-S corporation and is registered with the state of Alabama as a women-owned small business. The company has an accounting system and rate structure approved and audited by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Huntsville, AL. The company occupies a 1200 square feet leased office suite at 555 Sparkman Drive, Suite 1612, Huntsville, AL 35816. The company President is Betty C. Spradley who is responsible for the business operations, accounting, and contract administration. The Vice President is Dr. Lawrence W. Spradley who is responsible for the scientific direction and technical operations. He has over 30 years experience in mechanical engineering and has extensive experience in managing technical programs.

The company history includes subcontracts to major aerospace and defense firms (Lockheed, Boeing, Aerojet, Sparta, SAIC) and works with universities (UAH, Ala A&M, George Mason, Johns Hopkins). We have also had numerous SBIR contracts with NASA (MSFC, Langley, Glenn), Missile Defense Agency, Naval Research Labs, and National Institutes of Health.
